Overview
1000 Springs Mill is a family-owned business known for producing high-quality, homegrown products. As the company shifted from wholesale distribution to a direct-to-consumer sales model, they needed an online storefront that could deliver the same warmth, authenticity, and trust customers experienced with the brand in person.
My role extended beyond the website itself. Alongside designing the new eCommerce experience, I produced product photography used across the website and marketing materials, helping create a cohesive visual identity that reflected the quality of their products.
Tools Used:
The Challenge
Transitioning to direct-to-consumer meant more than simply launching an online store. The website needed to introduce the brand to new customers, showcase a growing catalog of products, and provide an intuitive shopping experience that encouraged visitors to explore and purchase with confidence.
The visual identity also needed to communicate the company’s handcrafted, family-oriented values while standing apart from larger commercial competitors.
The Solution
I designed a welcoming eCommerce website focused on clean navigation, approachable layouts, and imagery that emphasized the craftsmanship behind each product.
To complement the website, I planned and photographed multiple product collections throughout my time with the company. By maintaining a consistent visual style across the site, packaging, and promotional materials, the brand was able to present a polished and recognizable experience across multiple customer touchpoints.
One of my favorite photographs from a new product launch was ultimately selected for the final product packaging, making it especially rewarding to see the work extend beyond the digital experience.
The Outcome
The completed website provided 1000 Springs Mill with a professional eCommerce presence that reflected the company’s values while supporting its transition into direct-to-consumer sales.
The combination of custom website design and original product photography helped create a consistent brand experience that showcased both the products and the people behind them. Seeing one of my photographs featured on the final retail packaging was a particularly meaningful milestone and highlighted the value of creating visual assets that work across multiple mediums.
