Overview

Jensen Jewelers is a large jewelry retailer with an extensive product catalog and multiple store locations. As their online presence continued to grow, they needed a website experience that made it easier for customers to browse collections, discover products, and navigate the site without feeling overwhelmed.

Working as part of the team at Rinard Media, I focused on redesigning the user experience and interface to create a cleaner, more intuitive shopping journey while staying aligned with the company’s established brand guidelines.

Tools Used:

The Challenge

Large eCommerce websites often face a common problem: as product catalogs expand, navigation becomes more complex.

Jensen Jewelers needed a solution that would:

  • Help customers find products more quickly.
  • Reduce friction when browsing collections.
  • Maintain a premium, high-end brand feel.
  • Support a large inventory without overwhelming users.

The Solution

I redesigned key areas of the website with a focus on clarity, hierarchy, and ease of navigation.

Working closely with their branding team, I developed layouts that balanced visual elegance with usability, ensuring the site felt both luxurious and approachable.

Special attention was given to the menu structure, collection organization, and overall browsing experience to help customers move through the catalog more naturally.

My Process

Throughout the project, I focused on simplifying decision-making for users.

Key areas of focus included:

  • Streamlining navigation and menu organization.
  • Developing a clean online store filter system for customers to find the right jewelry and gem type.
  • Creating clearer visual hierarchy across pages.
  • Designing layouts that highlighted featured collections.
  • Ensuring consistency with existing brand standards.

The Outcome

The redesigned experience gave Jensen Jewelers a cleaner, more intuitive interface that better supported product discovery and customer browsing.

By simplifying navigation while preserving the brand’s premium aesthetic, the final design created a shopping experience that felt more polished, organized, and user-friendly.

For me, this project was a valuable opportunity to work within an established brand system and solve UX challenges at a larger eCommerce scale.
